Past Life: When Science Meets Art
Having completed his degrees in Applied Physics, Arts Criticism and Human Computer Interaction (HCI) with Ergonomics, Bo’s vision is to merge science and art, in search of the ultimate harmony of “the self” and “the other”, the “inside” and the “outside”, the “virtual presence” and the “physical reality”…This leads naturally to his career path in “experience design”. Having worked as a user experience advocate and information architect for many years, Bo has been missioned to help bridging technology and design. From telecommunications, media, entertainment, gaming, hotel / resorts, to healthcare and pharma, Bo has a broad range of industry experiences. With rich experience in web strategy / competitive analysis, user centered design (UCD), usability evaluations / testing, accessibility, information architecture and rapid prototyping, Bo’s portfolio includes: IKEA, TOSHIBA, Best Buy, New York Fries, Toys’R'Us, Canadian Real Estate Association, Ontario Ministry of Health Promotions, AXE, Cosmopolitan TV, Molson, France Telecom, Vodafone (UK), CanWest, Elysian, and large e-health information portals such as Healthy Ontario, Insulin Journal and OncologySTAT.

Bo led the User Experience team at CP+B Canada. His team oversaw the user experience and strategy through all digital channels. Since arriving at CP+B he has guided innovative digital work for practically every CP+B Canada client, including Molson, Ikea, Toshiba, AXE, Best Buy, Toys “R” Us, Pfizer, CAMH, OPA, Ministry of Health Promotion Ontario, Canadian Real Estate Association, to name but a few.

Bo joined the Insights & Planning team at Critical Mass as a Senior Planner in Oct 2011, specialised in user experience driven strategy and design directions. Prior to joining CM, Bo has led the User Experience team at Crispin Porter + Bogusky (Canada), overseeing the experience strategy and design through all digital channels. Having worked as a user experience director and senior experience architect for many years, Bo has worked on gaining core insights through research and discovery, collaborating with clients, account, creative and technology departments to develop digital strategies, bridging technology and design to create persuasive and engaging experiences for many award winning projects. From retail, e-commerce, telecommunications, media / entertainment, gaming, hotel / resorts, to health care / pharmaceutical and e-government, Bo has a broad range of industry experiences. With multifaceted skills like business analysis, user research and testing, user centered design (UCD), usability / accessibility analysis, digital strategy, information architecture, experience design and prototyping, Bo has guided innovative digital work for many clients, including Molson Coors, Richard’s, Ikea, Toshiba, Microsoft, Unilever, Best Buy, Toys “R” Us, New York Fries, Pfizer, Bayer, Merck Serono / Organon / Schering Plough, CAMH, OPA, Toronto Tourism, Evergreen, Ministry of Health Promotion Ontario, CREA (Canadian Real Estate Association), to name but a few.
